Mama Always Said, 'Waste Not, Want Not,'

I do not know about any of my readers or bloggers, but if you are a crafter or quilter like I am, sooner or later you come to something you must cut up and leave a huge chunk behind that you have no use for.

I have this problem when making quilts, no matter how closely I try to fit all my batting, I wind up with large chunks that someone could probably use for a smaller project but no matter how hard I try, they never fit any of my projects!

I have at least 10 various pieces of Warm & White batting in various sizes from small to larger and I have a few really large pieces as well. Some would be perfect for using in rag quilts, runners, purses or small pillows and maybe a small wall quilt.

If you would be interested in spending some money to save some money, let me know what size you are looking for and the price you want to spend for it along with shipping costs (should be under $3) and send me a money order and out the door it goes.

If you have something you would like to barter with, I might be interested in that as well. I could sell it on Ebay, but why pay them the fees and make you pay the fees, when I can probably get it all out the door here.

Contact me via my blog or email me at compassionatequilter-at-rocketmail-dot-com and we will work something out.

Like momma always said, waste not, want not!

Wow!

So, I get this brainiac idea this morning before work to see what if any difference my weight loss has made and sun of a gun if I couldn't fit into an old pair of size 18 jeans...a bit tight in the legs still, but I could snap them and sit down!

Now, that is progress...baby steps, but progress!

Closer To My Goal

It was a wonderful week-end! The girls and I spent Friday night with the scout troop at a wonderful indoor water park and the leaders of our troop are amazing...they took the girls early since I had to work and by the time I arrived, it was close to bedtime.

The girls had a ball...all 11 of them and I think the adults had a pretty great time as well. Note to self...when traveling, take my own pillow!

Sunday, we played hookie from church and went shopping at Costco and Fred Meyers...oh, how good it feels to be able to go grocery shopping again. That is my addiction...grocery shopping...I love everything about it...making my list, cutting coupons, looking for sales and then doing the shopping & coming home and filling the pantry.

You see, as a small child, we went hungry many nights, so it makes sense!

Check out my weight ticker at the bottom...ladies and gents, for the 8th week in a row, I have lost weight! Closer to my goal by 2# & I thank you all for your support and love during this time!
