Fabric and Notion Giveaway

I am feeling a bit better today, so I thought I would hostess a giveaway that will go until the end of the month. The first item I am giving away is 'The Thread Lite,' an amazing lighted needle threader.
Awhile back I purchased two of these, one to use and one to giveaway and if you are like me, wear tri-focals, bi-focals, glasses or just plain can't see to thread a needle, this tool is amazing. I wish I had known about it years ago. This will be the first prize award for some very lucky winner. And here is a picture of it with the light turned on. It operates on three tiny watch type batteries and they are included!
I have also had plenty of time to think about the stacks and stacks of fabric I have laying around and how much I will use in the future for quilt projects and how many times I will see something I like better in the quilt stores and buy more.
Face it ladies and gentleman if you are a quilter or crafter and have been for any length of time, we are HOARDERS any way we look at it and we probably have more fabric than we will ever use and probably more than any one of our family members will ever use or know what to do with if we pass on.

So, I am also giving away some of my scrap stash and the scraps will be cut into neat little sizes from 3" to 5" sizes depending on the fabric and how much I have of it left. Up for grabs is the following fabric for second and third place.
Second place is three fall/Thanksgiving fabrics that would be great to add to a quilt, place mat, hot pad, etc. The brightly colored pumpkin fabric is less than a 1/4 yard, but will be cut using a rotary cutter into usable pieces. The black leave pattern is the same and then the harvest pattern has quite a bit more. Leave me what size squares you want these to be cut into, 3" or 4" and I will cut them to your size.

Lastly, I am giving away a stack of various pink flannel 6" x 6" squares, there are 12 to this bunch and if I find more laying around, I will include them as well. It is just right now, I am working on hand piecing quilts and have no plans to use any of the above.
The giveaway rules are pretty simple:
1- Giveaway ends September 30th, 6:00 PM PST and winners will be announced October 1st. Please, you must leave me a valid Email address so I can send you your winning notice.
2-I will announce winners here on this posting, on my blog and on the sidebar of my blog.
3-You have 5 days to respond to my Email or announcement to get back to me with a valid snail mail address.
4-Open to United States Residents & residents of Canada only.
How To Win:
  • Leave a comment here and you will earn 1 entry. If you leave a comment on any post between today and the end of the giveaway and earn 1 entry for each.
  • Follow me and earn 10 additional entries.
  • Post this link on your blog and send me the link and earn 10 additional entries.
  • Twitter, leave a facebook posting about this and send me the link and you earn another 5 entires.

So, go ahead, give this giveaway a shout out to all you know and you may be the lucky winner of one of the above prizes.

What a great tool! My eyes need all the help they can get. I'm waiting for them to create a small, fine needle with a great big eye! LOL! I'm glad you're feeling better too. I have you listed at Blog Events Dex too. Happy Stitching!

Hoarders....I saw a TV program on that the other night. My husband asked me to come into the room so I could see it....I think he was suggesting it applies to me..YIKES :)

However, that does not stop me one bit from wanting more fabric, notions, thread or all sorts of fun stuff...endless pit I guess :)

Smiles,
Kelly

What a GREAT product to give away!! I LOVE sewing and this is always the hardest part when I do my cross stitching!

Thanks for the comment on my blog! I bake to sell, so we certainly love to make our messes! I always tell my husband, that you're not really cooking if you don't make a mess!

Have a wonderful weekend!

I'm a fairly new grandparent. I have 8 grands 5 and under. I really need to look around your blog and see if there are helpful tips on grandparenting...I really want to do the right things and leave lasting memories. Since I'm a grandparent it goes without saying that I'm getting older and have a hard time threading needles. So glad my sewing machine has an auto threader...saves a lot of time!

Just wanted to stop by and say thanks for posting on my blog about my christmas pillow cases. What a great idea I don't think I've seen a lighted needle threader. Your fall fabric is wonderful.. can't wait for cooler weather here.

What a wonderful idea! I've been "guessing" where the eye of the needle is...still too stubborn to wear the reading glasses.
As for the fabric--never can have too much, the collector (okay, HOARDER) in me says! LOL.

Please count me in for your September giveaway. Sounds like fun. And I'm also working on some charity kids quilts with flannel and could certainly put your pink flannel scraps to good use, if I win. Have 7 tops currently made and starting to quilt, plus blocks in progress for another top or two (I tend to do mass assembly when making charity quilts).

I've also posted insights about your giveaway on my blogsite for giveaways & contests: http://sewcalgalcontestinfo.blogspot.com/

And I tweated on twitter (SewCalGal).

Did I miss an opportunity?

I'd love to win, but I'm sure whomever wins will enjoy your lovely prizes. I know I would.
