We lived in Phoenix the year they were a team born and we loved that team... Matt (Matty)Williams, Luis Gonzales, Mark (Gracie) Grace, Tony Womack (we called him chuch as in choo choo train because he ran so fast), Jay Bell, Damien Miller...our announcers were Thom Brennaman and Bob Brenly.
My husband and I worked opposite shifts so being able to sit down and watch a game at home together was quite a treat for us. Many times we were blessed with free tickets to the game and when we could, we would take off and catch dinner and a game. Our favorite snack was a cooler of peanuts and some bottled water and now you can't even take water into the stadiums.
If we couldn't take advantage of the tickets, we would drop our boys off give them some money for eats and we had a place to pick them up away from the crowds and we could be in and out in about 10 minutes. It was such a great time. We even went one year with my best friend, mom, step-dad and it was a blast!
Now, we live about an hour and a half away so we can't go very often. It was kids day today so they got tee shirts, got to run the bases, received a pin. It was awesome and our dinner cost only $28 thanks to a certificate I was able to purchase through UPromise!
The Mariners didn't disappoint, they won 5-1 against the Minnesota Twins!

Hey there Jean. Looks like you all had a great time. Did you every find out what that big brick building on the hill was in Seattle? If not, I will ask my boss cuz I remember pictures he showed me years ago that included that building. Enjoy your day.
