It Is Snowing and I am Blessed!

First, I am always blessed when it is snowing and I am sorry not all of you share my feelings and I understand that totally. It is a wet snow and supposed to rain tonight, so I do not expect it to last.

I went to the mailbox today and it was chock full of blessings. I received a nice bath package from my mom which had bath salts, bubble bath, sponge, body butter, body spray, soap, etc. It is so nice when your mom sends you little treats when you are over the age of 20.

Here are what was left after the girls said, 'package from great grandma, we want it and off they trotted to their bathroom wi
still th some of the items.

Then, Sherry from over at 'If I Could Set My Soul Free,' sent me the handmade cards I had ordered from her and here the pictures are, they are really nice and will make great cards to give to people when I am in the mood to write. Of course, the girls started to lay claim to those and I told them NO!

Then what was really cool is Sherry sent me another package with a note that said I won one of her giveaways and she apologized for mailing it out to me late, however I didn't even know I had been a winner. How fun is that? It is like when I named Shawnee's dress form and won a beautiful apron and didn't know why! I love blessings that come when I don't expect them.

I received 3 packages of pre-cut fabric squares, 2 stuffed hearts (which by the way Sherry one is hanging over my desk) and some chocolate candies which in all fairness, I split with the kids.
Now all I need is some time to quilt and I would be very happy!

I was also blessed t
o be able to talk to Melinda from Whidbey Island today. It was a great conversation and I wish we could meet face to face, but she is on a tight moving schedule, but talking to her was pleasant and another huge blessing for the day.

Speaking of blessings, Melinda got a huge one, you will have to check out her blog to see if she posts about it.

Lastly, once again from Sherry were these 2 packages of flannel fabric squares so I can make a baby quilt for my granddaughter.
I have a thing for purple, can you tell?

Tonight's dinner is left over baked Ziti, so while the fireplace begins warming up the home and the newly outed sun warms up the non-stick snow that has already quit falling, I will go finish cleaning my kitchen, the floors and walls need a good scrubbing!

Blessings come, when we least expect them, that is what makes them blessings!

It sounds like a great day! I am glad I got to be a part of it. I probably wont share my big blessing on my blog just because other family members on the kids side read it and I am not sure the grandparents want it konwn. I dont wnat to cause any rifts. You know how that goes, but I was happy to share it with you! You should get your valentines today too! melinda
