So Grateful and Spoiled

Last year before my surgery, I met this wonderful lady from our church. I knew and had talked to her oldest son but never knew her much as she owned her own business and was always busy. Then, fate happened, she moved closer to town and I met her in a church class setting. She is a nurse and told me to keep her posted on my surgery.

Since the, she and her husband have adopted our family. Not only did she come in and help take care of me after surgery...washing my hair, helping me bathe, sweeping a floor, her husband would pick the kids up and take them to the park and to summer school.

Once I was back on my feet, they have kept the kids over night so hubs and I can have a day together, they have introduced us to their family and all the kids get along wonderfully as well as the adults. When my mom passed away and I had to fly, they gave me money to eat on at the airports.

This year they began going to the car races with us and are always interested in how we are doing. It is such a blessing to have them in the kids life so they have someone whose home they can go visit and be spoiled as grandchildren should be spoiled.

They picked the kids up at school today and brought us dinner...spaghetti, shrimp salad and cake. I can't tell you what a huge blessing it was!
