Calling All Book Lovers, We Can Help!

I have not had the opportunity to read any of Alice's books and just recently have come to know this wonderful woman through a friend of mine who is also a writer, but she has a gift.

Alice isn't just a writer, she is a Christian writer which makes these books even better in my eyes because as Christians who love to read, I don't want to read foul language, graphic love scenes, horror details, I want to read great books that feed my mind and soul.

'The above book was a finalist in the 2009 ACFW's book of the year contest and her book 'The Case of the Mystified MD, ' was 2010's ACFW's winner in the mystery category.

Don't believe that all writers are rolling in the money and living life fat, most writers even writers like Alice that are published are struggling just like the rest of us. Alice's husband lost his job recently and totally unexpectedly. I am not going to go into the details, but we can all help this family right now, by purchasing one of her books, urging your local libraries to purchase her books, schools, churches (I have seen several churches have Christian book stores in them) Christian book stores, even getting the word out on our blogs.

Do you teach? Let other teachers know about these wonderful books and if you teach or know teachers that work with youth and teens, what better way to encourage them to NOT read all the latest horror books and read Christian books instead. Yes, I am sure you will get the rolling eyes, but they will thank you for it.

We always feel so helpless when it comes to helping others. I hear, 'I can't, I am not working right now, the budget isn't balanced, no one is helping us, we can't afford it, etc.'

Well, guess what? You can make a difference so stop thinking you can't, stop thinking someone else will do it and take that leap off the bridge into the icy waters and buy a book. It is very easy...simply order from Barnes & Noble, Amazon or Christian Books.

I checked all these sites out and Alice's books are selling for $4.99-$18.00 depending on which book and if you are buying a single book or a series. Perhaps you can contact Alice directly and ask her where your purchase would most benefit her and her family at this time.

Many of us have our weekly or daily vices: Starbucks latte, getting our nails done, purchasing crafting or quilting supplies, a candy bar each time we go shopping, etc. if we all gave up something for a week, we could purchase one of Alice's books and help her until her husband gets a new job.

Perhaps right now, all you can do is pray for Alice and her husband. If that is all you can do, I I know she will covet and cherish these prayers. Just stop by her web-site, say hello, tell her I sent you by to give them encouragement and pray for them. Even better if you can purchase her book!

Stop by and say hello to Alice and tell her you came via my blog! I don't know about you, but I can always use a little help from my friends!
