Superstar Writer In Our Home.....Voices of Children 2011

Meet the baby of our family, little man who is the sweetest little guy around...well, unless you are one of his sisters and then he has his moments.

Awhile back the children brought home paperwork to write a story about what it is like to live with grandparents or other family members rather than their parents. Each one of the children wanted to write about their experience living with us.

Imagine our amazement when we received a call a few hours ago that our little man here won in his age group.
This is HUGE people.

Next Wednesday we have been invited (all expenses paid) to stay at a local indoor very expensive water park and to arrive early.

We will have our room and then be part of a huge celebration for 54 families and he will stand up on stage and read his letter out loud to everyone present. When it is finished, he will meet the governor of our state and have his picture taken with her and he will receive a $100 prize.

I cried, I am still crying. This is such a wonderful blessing. Since living here and not having a full time job, things have been hard on us, but more so on the children who never complain during the summers while their friends get to go several times over to this water park, or to Disneyland, Palm Springs, Hawaii, etc. Never do I hear them feel sorry for themselves.

My hubs and grandson have never been to this place, we got to go awhile back for a Girl Scout treat, but this is going to be all of us as a family and that is truly a blessing!

Congrats to him! Way to go! I am so happy for all of you and the little break of fun you get to have. We just went to one of those with the GS troop and it was a major blast. The lazy river is to die for! Can't wait to hear all about his reading and the fun all of you have!

I just can't wait to hear the letter he wrote. When they wrote them, I put them in an envelope and mailed them off, not even reading what was written!

Just God giving proof to the fact that you are both doing a terrific job raising those children. God has truly blessed all of you.
