A 9 Year Project Now In The Making

This is not in any means completed yet, but years back I saw this pattern and wanted to make it. The colors and fabrics are to look a bit like the water you would see on a tropical island with bright colors and I tried to choose fabrics that resembled floating plants and coral.

You cut out the strips and then pin and weave then to the batting and when done you stand back and pray that you didn't mess up the weaving like I had!  

My oldest granddaughter looked at it and said, 'what a mess Ranny, if I were doing that, I would just throw it out and start over!' But after an hour of pulling and re-weaving, I got it. 

It is now on the machine and being very carefully sewn together with a weaving top stitch!
