These are the faces of the family members that we are making quilts for. I just discovered yesterday his brothers name is Bobby and one thing Bobby asked was that we NOT forget his brother and that he was a hero.
I also discovered for the first time his mom's name is Anna. His dad is a Captain with LA County fire.
Please, let us not forget why these young men died. They died doing a job they loved. They died protecting not their own property, but others because they felt it needed to be done. They died doing a job few ever step up and volunteer to do and when they do they never think twice about their own lives.
Don't say they will have plenty of other quilts, don't think someone else will step up, don't let these families feel left out.
We still need 36 quilts, I even have 1 entire family that not a single family member has been adopted.
Please, now is the time to step up and become involved!
