Let It Snow...

As you can see, we still have snow. It is still coming down on the hill where we live but more of a mixture of snow and rain. There was just enough snow in the front yard for one highly imaginative little girl to make a miniature snowman! Whodathunkit?

Here we have a little one making a snow angel and the brother of course gathering snow to pelt her before she even got up and had time to run!

Hubby just called from Raymond, he says they have rain and the Willapa River is going over its river banks. The Willapa River has a history of going over its banks I guess and the Hoquiam River went over the other day flooding the area behind the local police department.

This little one was no dummy, she collected snow off the slide for a giant snowball and whopped her brother back.

What is more satisfying and happy than watching children with their joyful laughter and faces as they play in the snow. Even the dog is out playing with them.

One thing I can't help but think of is the people who are homeless. I don't mean the many people who rip people off standing on the road holding a sign...I have seen some of those people get out of new Cadillacs & have top brand clothing on, they are not needing money.

I mean the many people that have no shelter from the cold. I saw $5.00 lap blankets today at WalMart and was wondering how many of you that follow my blog would be kind enough to send me a blanket or two to use as an added layer of insulation in quilts for the homeless?

If you are interested, contact me and I will let you know how to get them to me.

Gotta run, I hear the tea kettle calling for hot chocolate to be made!
