A Wonderful Week-End

First and foremost a HUGE Thanks & hug to our wonderful friend John who not only came to stay with the children on Friday night (about a 2 hour drive), but brought with him Jerry's new Lazy Boy recliner which was his Christmas gift! Believe it or not, he brought the entire chair in a Saturn! I was amazed & even more amazed I walked right by it and never noticed it!

Long story short, Jerry's old chair got left in Phoenix & he has not been happy about it. Jerry works long hours, come homes, splits wood,cuts kindling before dinner, helps with the kids, is rewiring the house, fixes everything that gets broken & is like that darned bunny that keeps going and going...John helped me give him an excuse to relax once in awhile and it works!

As usual, this chair has that hidden 'off' button built into it somewhere. We all know the one, once our man or even ourselves sit in a Lazy Boy & our butts hit the seat...off go the lights and to sleep we go!

For a once a year treat, John drives from his home to ours so we can dress up and go out to Jerry's company holiday party. This year it was held in the beach community of Westport at the Islander/Half Moon Bay Bar & Grill and the Salmon with crab sauce was delicious. We shared a table with 2 other couples and it was nice. You must try their lemon cheesecake, it has a chocolate top and raspberry sauce. Yummy!

Last year Jerry won a television and this year $100! We are so blessed lately!

Everyone appeared to be enjoying themselves and having a good time. Jerry even stood up for a few seconds and did a disco thing at the table & I was shocked! Yes! He was sober! It was funny and I couldn't believe it, but it was nice to see him relaxing for a change.

We could not have gone without John and I appreciate him so much, words can never say what my heart feels!
