Today has been an exceptionally difficult day for me. If it wasn't for my grandchildren and the students that count on my presence, I would have gone home and to bed early this morning.
My medical problems this morning turned up the heat a notch and I almost had an anxiety attack at school. Thank God for my friend John who taught me years ago the magic of chanting Om, Om or I would have gone into a panic.
Then, I had a student teacher observing me and I am a substitute, not a regular teacher, however, today we had 12 subs on site, so I guess they gave her to me because I am a regular.
It was a trying day. I came home wanting to make a meat loaf and had no eggs & just as I was going to sit down and throw myself a pity party complete with confetti, my husband called and said he wanted to take us to dinner!
We were discussing a new Christian fellowship group as an after school activity for the kids and somehow got into the discussion of baptism of the Holy Spirit and tongues. I asked my oldest granddaughter if she knew what speaking in tongues was for and before she could react, her sister with complete confidence and pride blurted out really loudly in the restaurant:
"It is so hell doesn't know what you are saying."
I just looked and hubby who was doing his best not to laugh and he said to me, she repeats it as she believes it. She didn't say hell to be mean or get attention, she simply stated a fact as she knows it.
Out of the mouths of babes and this from a little one who thinks a really bad word is saying shut up to someone.
