Our Lone Wolf

Friday night was our packs annual Blue and Gold banquet and it was a Chinese New Year theme.

During this banquet, the boys are moved up in their ranks...this year, our grandson moved up to Wolf and as it has been during most of thi
s year, he was the Lone Wolf.

Here he is, giving the scout master the Cub Scout handshake.

Sadly, it seems, our den is destined to be small. Our original den leader handed it to me until she recovered from surgery, however the district just handed the den to me on a permanent basis. In the meantime, we lost 2 new scouts. Boredom or the problem of having to divide their time between parents makes it tough.

Here he is pinning the parent Wolf pin on me upside down. They have to remain upside down until they do a good deed.

In his case, the very next day while grocery shopping, a young moms child took off from here and while running after her, she dropped her groceries. Grandson picked them up and took them back to her!

Not only did he get to turn his pin right side u
p, he impressed his older sisters by being so nice to someone else!

Here he is at the end of the evening with his first place Golden Chopsticks award for winning a relay contest that was pretty ingenious. They had to pick up noodles with chopsticks and run them to a take out container. Then the winners of each round went onto the second and third rounds.

He was so proud to win this plaque and we are so proud of our little Lone Wolf!
