Day 12 - 30 Day Photo Challenge, Something I love

I love Pikes Market in Seattle. If I lived closer or lived in an area where I could take the ferry to Seattle, I would be there at least once a week!

The fish market throwing their fish isn't the only fish vendor there, there are actually 4 fish vendors at Pikes Market.

There are 8 bakeries, but my favorite has to be the Daily Dozen, where you get hot out of fryer, covered with powered sugar or cinnamon sugar in paper bags, a dozen donut holes.........I would drive to Seattle just for these!

Organic and fresh produce is what you are looking for? There are 4 berry farms that peddle the best berries, ripe, sweet and delicious! Lets not confuse cherries with berries, there are 5 or 6 cherry peddlers and one of them (or more) sell chocolate coated ones & not those chocolate covered cherries you buy your mom when you are younger.

There are 8 family dairies that represent everything from fresh goat cheese to yogurt and ice cream, restaurants, specialty shops, gift shops, an observation deck and Pikes Market is more than just the vendors on the top floor.

Come to think of it, though at times I really despise living in the city....if I weren't raising grandchildren, I would be living smack dab in the middle of Seattle in one of those tiny one room efficiency pods and shopping at Pikes daily for my meals, fresh flowers.........heck, about the only thing one can't buy there are bras and then again, there may even be a shop hidden in a corner somewhere I have missed!

I love to go to farmer's markets in the spring & summer to get fresh foods. They are the best. I'd love to go to a fresh fish market. The only kind you can get here is frozen.
