Dreams Do Come True...

First of all I want to thank you for your prayers. I think I am on the final leg of the flu or formaldehyde poisoning I had. Today, I cleaned the living room, kitchen and appliqued a personalization on the quilt I just sold.

Many of you know that I love making quilts for those in need and a few years back, we had a power outage that spanned 3 days. I was bored to tears, had nothing to do...well, honestly, how many times can you play hangman, or take a long nap during the day?

I have always wanted a treadle machine. Shhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!! Today I was over talking to my beloved neighbors daughter about their estate sale and talking about quilts. That's when she told me the one thing they couldn't sell was her moms Treadle machine.

It works, has the original manual to it, needles and a wooden accessory box, not cardboard. She let me have it for a steal and I mean it was so reasonable that I do believe it was meant for me to have. So, now, I have a machine that not only can I sew with during power outages....I can exercise at the same time.

I will post pictures when I get it over to our house!
