Strength To Do All Things

I have only been up a few hours and already I feel so exhausted all I want to do is go back to sleep like my sweet granddaughter Emerald is doing in this picture.

This was taken when she came to visit over night for the summer!

I was reminded that while I may believe I have limitations or I am limited that God will give me Strength to do all things.

Philippians 4:13 tells us: 'We can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.'

I believe so many times throughout my life, Jesus has and still does give me strength to get through the tough times, the tiring times and the times when I feel so physically weak I can't move. It is those times that Jesus comes and along and whispers: 'come to me child and let me carry you.'

You may be struggling this morning as well. Please, do not give up hope. If you are ill, I can promise you that God will help. If you are tired, he will give you rest. If you are a grandparent raising grandchildren, he will send you someone today to give you rest.

Strength to do all things does not mean I can get up, re-roof my home, cook for the neighbors, mow my neighbors yards, cure cancer, design a building. It means that Jesus gives me the strength to do all the things I am called to do for today.

I will have a burst of energy while in church, I will come home refreshed and I will know that He is carrying me! Allow Him to carry you today as well!
