Training and Exhaustion

A quick post today with so much going on this week-end, but I want you all to know I miss you and wish I could post more often, but I am swamped with studies for my new job. I love knowing that you all are sending me best wishes and praying for me and I can feel that daily.

So, I have gone through 2 weeks of training already and passed 3 tests. The first was was a bit tricky for me but I got a passing grade and one thing I learned over my life is we may not always get 100% on everything. I can strive for it and do my best, but when I don't, not to worry myself sick over it, but look over where I made my mistakes and move forward.

Don't get stuck! If we get stuck, we will build up stress and stress causes so many problems, so just move forward and hope next time you will do better. Don't get me wrong, I am a very type A personality, but I have learned to just let it go.

I am also remembering how exhausting work can be. Twice last week I laid on the couch and crashed out so hard I never heard the phone or my friend trying to wake me up. Sitting in a class room all day and learning and studying for tests is mentally exhausting.

One thing I do most everyday is come home, take off my work clothes, put on my walking shorts and shoes and get out walking! Move and get the air flow into my head...breathe in deeply the fresh air. I have even taking to walking around a local church parking lot if it is raining out, but to get my mind out of the class.

Then I come in, talk to my family, eat dinner and begin studying again. I cannot do class all day and study all night, I do need some down time for my brain. My brain obviously needs it or I wouldn't just zonk out the minute I lay down!

I am home for the week-end, the kids and hubby were happy to see me and today is our 30th anniversary...thanks for the card John, it solidfies what I always knew....hahahaha!! I have a pile of mile on my desk to go through, studying, a hair cut, grocery shopping for hubby and a scout meeting. Whew!

Tomorrow, I head back. I wasn't going to hold off and leave Monday morning very early but remembered our class starts at 0730.

Life is good, we are still working on the hearing issues with a specialist but I am praying this will be resolved and my job will remain intact.

Thank you for being patient with me.

Hi Jean, I know you can get thru the classes and studying. You are a strong person. Keep up all the good work you are doing for others, but don't forget to take care of yourself too. Patty
