Seeking Suggestions

Hello there all my quilting bloggers. I have a question. I am making a quilt right now for a homeless person. However, the top is 100% cotton, the batting I have is Warm and Natural, but it is thin and I do not think it would be a good choice to keep someone warm who lives outside.

I was thinking of using a fleece backing, what suggestions would you wonderful people have for the middle?

I was even thinking maybe old Army surplus blankets, but hubs said because they are wool, if they got wet it would take a long time for them to dry and they could become smelly.

Thanks!

I think your husband is right. I would use the warm & natural and the fleese backing. They will be a bit warmer than before !! Good of you to do this!!

I would use either fleece or flannel. Warmer.
You might even buy the wool batting.
