I am so broken hearted over my hubby being sad about this whole move thing because I started it. He works 4-6 days a week in another town and has to drive back and forth daily. We were trying to move that way and found a wonderful home to rent for a great price (less than $400 on what we are paying now). It was beautiful, had a non-shared driveway, two-car garage and an acre. But it wasn't in the Lords plans. We met with the family (I am talking 6 people) Saturday and they were so sweet. However, while the home is for rent they want to sell it, not rent it and we just can't move and in a year move again....we turned it down. So, if anyone has an extra $135K laying around, just send it our way. Just kidding, maybe, well probably, but then again!
This made me decide to have a giveaway for all my wonderful followers, upcoming followers, quilters, crafters, hobbiests, sewers, etc. It will be short and sweet and very uncomplicated. I don't know about you, but more and more giveaways just require me to do to much!
I have never been to the Fabric Depot in Portland, Oregon but I order from there about once a month. I was looking for some fabric the other day, when I ran across these cute and adorable measuring tapes and ordered them for gifts and a giveaway:
First prize will be this cute little panda tape measure. You pull the ear and out comes the tape and there is a button on the back that retracts it.
Second prize is a little piglet tape measure (didn't I tell you these were adorable?) I gave one that was a kitten to a little girl who recently had a birthday and I gave her a sewing box. My youngest granddaughter loves frogs, so I gave her one that was a frog.
Third prize is a simple Darlene Zimmerman pattern called: 'Easy Does It.' I am not one to reuse patterns, but I made 3 quilts from this pattern and now it is time to let someone else enjoy it.
Lastly, I have this cute pink bag with elephants on it that would make a great take-along quilting or crafting bag and if you live in a region like I do where it rains frequently, this one would be at least water proof. Even better for a blanket and picnic things to keep in your car!
As I said, I want to make my first giveaway of 2012 pretty easy, so read the rules, have fun and good luck!
Rules:
1. Starts today, ends 2/11 at noon PST (short and sweet)
2. Leave a comment for 1 entry, let me know you are already a follower and I will give you a second entry. (A comment a day is allowed for 1 extra entry).
3. Leave a comment on your blog and let me know you did and I will give you 5 more entries.
4. As always, if someone comes from your blog and tells me they did, you will get another 3 entries.
5. If you want to follow me, (you can't stop following and then refollow) I will give you an extra 5 entries.
6. MOST IMPORTANT...you CANNOT be a no-reply/anonymous blogger. If you do not leave a way for me to contact you, your post will be immediately removed and not even considered. I spend to much time trying to track down bloggers who want to win and leave me no way to reach them!
Nothing to twitter, FB, go here and there and come back! Short, sweet and back to giveaway simplicity.

I'm sorry to hear about your move falling through. We moved last summer from a house we had been in over 20 years. Before the move though we were in limbo for months. It is hard not knowing exactly what God has in store for us but know you will be Blessed!
Thank you for your giveaway and a chance to win. How generous of you to have so many winners.

Jeanne at the Learning Curve recommended you.
I'm sorry that house didn't work out for you. I've always found that when you get hit with disappointment, something better is just around the corner.

I am a new follower. I came via "The Learning Curve" and Jeanne. What a great blog.
I have given my children these tape measures and they love them. We have a frog, hippo, panda and tiger. You can never have too many tape measures.
I live an hour away from Fabric Depot, and going there is a real treat.
Thanks for the giveaway. I put a little cow measuring tape in my niece's Christmas stocking, and it was her favorite of all the things we gave her for Christmas, which I thought was funny. The pattern sounds great--if I don't win, I'll keep my eye out for it.
Jeanne Gwin of the Learning Curve sent me here, bless her heart.
Those are cute measuring tapes. The pattern must be a good one if you made three of them. Wish me luck!
I am a follower. Don't worry, the right house will come along at the perfect time.

The tape measure is so cute!
Such cute tape measures. Thanks for a chance to win.
I'm coming from Stray Stitches, so give her the extra entries. One of my favorite verses is Acts 17:26 - He determined the times set for them and the exact places where they should live. Thanks for the cute giveaway!
you know I am a follower....Maybe someday we can go to fabric depot together!!!!!! I used to go and it is so much fun...all kinds of ideas are found there...we would get in all kinds of trouble.
Love the panda tape measure! And I know my son would love it too. :)
I'm a follower of your blog! :)
Back again for another chance!!!
Back yet again for my last(?) chance!
The tape measures are adorable. Oregon seems to have alot of great quilt shops. So many women from the local quilt guild go up to Oregon for a fabric shopping weekend getaway.
