My First Quilt For Aurora

I don't do simple very well as you can see.  I did an appliqued star quilt with red and white polka dot and red interior borders and then did a back bound edge as opposed to binding.  I initially did a stitch in the ditch around the inner borders, but that didn't seem enough to me, so I am hand quilting around each one of the stars.

Here is the backside, miniature apples.  As soon as it is complete, it will be nicely wrapped in tissue paper with a bow and place in the box.  I am waiting for several local ladies I know to bring their afghans over and then my first box will go out.
