Don't Take It Personal

Every year I do the same thing the first week or so of the New Year.
1- I start my yearly womens devotional

2- I clean out all my files, go through the things I need for taxes, shred the garbage

3- Refresh my Christmas card list....it seems to be getting smaller every year

4- Put new mileage journals in both vehicles and record the ending years mileage

5- Clean out my bloglist...this is important!

I try at least several times a month to connect with the writers of the blogs I follow. I feel it is important to let them know I enjoy their posts, their time and all the neat little things I learn whether it be in quilting, health or just having a great blog.

Some of you I have followed for several years now, I have prayed for you and you for me, we have laughed at each others funnies, watched our children grow up and shed tears.  Some of you I just met and others of you I may have been required to follow to join your giveaway and still others of you have completely quit blogging this year.

I get it, there are no guidelines for blogging...

However, I do follow many of you and each year I quit following many bloggers to make room for the many new ones I will enjoy reading.

I want to thank all of you for being a part of my life, for the smiles and prayers and just for being you!

If I am no longer following you it is perhaps because it is a season in my life I need to decrease the amount of time on the computer and more time concentrating on other areas...my charity quilts, my health, my life.

Thank you all and please do not take it personally!  It is never meant to be!

A great annual process. No offense taken to anyone that takes such action to prioritize time and help with their organization. I hope anyone that follows SewCalGal and doesn't find value stops following.

Hi Jean, I understand your reasons for cleaning up your blogging list. I haven't been able to blog for almost a year now. I see I still have followers but I am sure they are just not taking time to delete me. I am still following you and a few other bloggers. It is like I already know you and your family and I enjoy reading about what's going on. I was hoping to start blogging in the new year, but so far it hasn't happened. I have been doing a small amount of quilting and sewing. For Christmas I made 10 pillowcases for my grandchildren. It was a fun project picking out fabrics that I thought they would enjoy. I am hoping 2013 is a wonderful year for you and your family. Thanks for all the enjoyment your blog gives me!

Hi Jean, I am still reading your blog. I haven't been able to blog for quite awhile, but am hoping to be able to start again in the new year. I enjoy reading about you and your family. I think of you often! This year for Christmas I did make 10 pillowcases for my grandchildren. It was fun picking out fabric that I thought matched their personalities. I hope you have a wonderful 2013!
