Have A Safe 4th of July
Wherever you are, whatever you are doing, please have a very safe 4th of July and enjoy the day!
After BBQ all week, my gang wanted normal food, so I put 2 small roasts in the oven while we watched Castaway with Tom Hanks and I finally made this cake which I have said I would make every year!
As you think of what this day means and how thankful you are for your families, please think about the families of the 19 Granite Mountain Hotshots who lost their lives.
Please consider reaching out to one of the families, I do not want any of them to go without a quilt!

that cake is a family tradition for us....I have been making it every single year since my kids were little. I am glad you got to make it.
