Two Finishes

While waiting impatiently for the new  backing fabric to come for the 2 quilts I have done, I decided to make a Christmas Tree skirt but wanted something different so made it square.  The black side can be the front or the back as it can really be reversed.

It was fun and took about 3 days to make between cutting, sewing and hand binding.  I just don't move as fast as I used to.

Next finish was this cute little panel quilt that is the same on both sides and is going to make a great wall hanging or chair throw for someone looking for a lightweight quilted piece for just that right place!

Lastly with hubbies help, the bench we purchased awhile ago is finished and ready to go up on the front deck.  We had to get 2 cans of Red paint because the first can from WalMart was like colored water.

This last picture is an up close shot of the hammered bronze paint we used for the arms, legs and open back.  I love the details in this bench.

Hubby was such a huge help, pressure washing the original finish, taping it and spray painting.  I just had a few slats to paint because standing to do anything at all is painful!

For those who don't remember, here is what the bench looked like prior to hubbies great work!  It simply does not look like the same bench does it?

The bench turned out great. It amazing how nice a refurbished piece can turn out. Your husband did a great job on this.
