I cannot believe we are going to be getting our logo right around Christmas time for Layers of Hope - Quilting 911, that I have someone who has volunteered her time to help me set this up as a 501.c (3) and all because of the amazing people that you all are!
Each one of you have had a hand in pushing me in someway to continue this journey in spite of my health and to continue to reach out to others.
Through this, you have always shown me how amazing you are and today we closed the gap between 53% and 100% and now have all the money necessary to get our new logo and blog backgrounds and start work on the hard stuff.
I am waiting on an attorney friend to tell me how to proceed...there are so many laws with a business, but we are looking at turning this into something similar to other quilting organizations and have people set up drop off and collection points.
Right now, I am just so humbled we can take the next step. I am grateful to all who have stepped forward and volunteered to send quilts, send me tops and backs to finish, to those who have said they will finish and quilt, it all helps me as some days as you know are a struggle to stay off the couch let alone quilt.
I still hope in time to be able to have a storage unit filled with shelving and blankets and when there is a need to ship out a quilt, but right now, one step at a time.
God Bless and Thank you all!
