A Patrick Lose Quilt Pattern

Here it is, the lastest baby quilt for the newest grandchild and I had so much fun making it because that is what Patrick Lose does, he creates quilt patterns and much more so we can have fun with them. I am very happy with the way the bear came out, it is just so cute I want to hug it!

I used a combination of cotton and flannel fabrics that I had on hand. The letters, the borders above and between each block and the sides are all done in pink and black NASCAR fabric. If our soon to be daughter-in-law thinks her hubby to be is a NASCAR nut, she will realize his mother is too once she receives this.

Here is a much better picture where you can actually see the entire quilt. The stars are actually yellow cotton fabric and for some reason appear here to be off white.

I didn't notice until I posted these, that the bottom hearts are upside down! Oh well, I am not one to fret over such things and will not rip it out as the baby needs some new blankets and clothing, so no time to fix a boo-boo.

Aside from that silly mistake, I like the way it came out and I love taking patterns and making them unique for the person who is receiving this.

If my son thinks about it, he will have this child sitting in her swing when she gets old enough in front of the television on Sundays watching the race. After all, it is never to early to start a NASCAR fan in our family!

If you want to have fun quilting, check out Patricks blog on my sidebar. He is having quilt shops do a once a month themed 'Party with Patrick,' check out his blog, then get to your nearest quilt shop and tell them that you want to: "Party With Patrick.' All the quilt shops need to do is contact Patrick directly for further information!
