This Is Ridiculous!

Okay, so sue me! I moved to Washington for the rain and the beauty of the area and I am ever so grateful for the struggles and time I have had here, but come on Mother Nature, it is June and we still have rain, wind and cold!

Now, I do not want the temperatures that Arizona has at over 100 degrees, but I would like a few days of sun and dry so I can realistically look at planting some flowers, a few veggies and letting the kiddies outside to play!

I feel bad for complaining with all the people in other states that have been blasted by flooding, tornadoes and I know hurricane season is upon us...but golly gee, this has go to be the weirdest weather I have ever seen.

Not to mention it is killing the business where I work because people don't fish in this stuff.

Would love to hear how the weather is around your home. Is it normal for this time of the year or freaky like ours is?

Hi There if you have a look at my quilt you will see in the third and fourth row the small blue and white daisy I won in your giveaway last year. If you click on the photo it will enlarge, I used both of the pink Breast Cancer scraps also. No comment on the weather it is upside down the world over.

Hey Kathy. The weather here is pretty par for the course. Temps are in the upper 90's with an added heat index taking it on into the triple digits. The air is so thick with humidity it feels like you could drink it with a straw. Summertime in southeast Mississippi is hot and humid. Scattered afternoon storms are pretty typical this time of year. I'm not from here...and I've never climated to the to the oppressive summer heat...summer temps start here along about late April despite what the calendar says. Hope you get some relief soon...

Here in So. CA we are having the normal "June gloom" that I do not complain about, (except I haven't been able to shoot a good photo of the latest quilt project!) because those overcast clouds help to keep the blazing sun out, and have cooler days.
Monday is Field Day at school, with all of us outdoors after 11:30. Temps are projected at 96 degrees-!

we had high 70's and 80's the last few weeks and then the last couple of days we are in the forties with winds and rain....apparently, this kind of weather doesnt happen here in Utah....I am looking out my window and I have news....it is happening.
