Quilt For Robbie

This quilt is for little Robbie who was born premature with a scad of medical problems. His mom is a 911 dispatcher and I just had to make this precious little guy something to wrap him up in love and prayers.

The back is a deep purple flannel with tractors and trucks. The quilt pattern was from Quit It for Kids and had bears and stars on it, but I didn't cut all those out, instead used several gingham type of fabrics.

I love red and white checked anything, so I used them and then found that I still had scads of the green and white shamrock fabric and what signifies health and luck more than the lucky Irish shamrock? Lastly I used and blue and white check fabric with Mickey Mouse on it. The 2 large squares had little teddy bears on them.

The binding I used the Mickey fabric for and placed a label on it. Out in the mail it goes today and with all the prayers I prayed over this, I hope this little one is getting stronger by the day.

If you want an awesome charity to contribute to either financially or with other things, check out 911 Cares, these are the unsung heroes on the other end of the telephone when you call 911 anywhere and they are the ones that people forget so quickly.

If anyone would like the pattern called Bear Hugs, let me know and I will send it out to you! Drop me an Email, don't leave your home address here!

Beautiful quilt Jean. Such a great cause. If I could figure out how to put the trim on my quilts and found a few dozen more hours per week I would love to do this. Maybe when Little Bit gets a tad older?
