Mothers Day Wishes

My Mothers Day Wishes are simple: I wish all of you a wonderful and relaxing day!

For me, however, Mothers Day isn't so much about receiving gifts, flowers or a relaxing day, it is about me as a mom being able to give back to those in need. You see, simply put, that is who I am and how God designed me.

So, I have located another charity and this will help me with distributing those wonderful quilt tops that Dayna sent me last week (2 of which are almost complete).

Interested in helping? You can make and send quilts to the following or help by sending me flannel, fleece or Minky fabric in 1 1/2 yard increments, gift card to JoAnn's or simply the money for postage to mail off these first 2 quilts.

So many children were left orphaned, homeless, or injured after the tornadoes that hit Alabama on 27-April- 2011. These littlest survivors need love. They need to feel safe and they need to be comforted. That's exactly what a you can give them by knitting, crocheting, or fleece knotting a baby blanket made with love. If you do not know how, then donate yarn to those that can make a blanket. Every little bit helps. If you are interested in helping let us know.

After you complete a blanket, post a picture. That way we can all see the great work that is being done for the children.
