Hubby Says It Cannot Be Done, Lets Prove Him Wrong

You have all seen the pictures of the quilts I have posted, I have heard from some of you that you will be helping get the word out and get quilts out, others are wishing me the best and others are just to busy and I understand everyone of you.

However, I don't know about you, but when my husband tells me I can't do this or that, it can't be done, I will never get it done, that makes me dig down deeper and work that much harder after all I am tenacious if nothing else.

I have told all of you these quilts go directly to Aurora so you wouldn't think this was a scam.  I have told you that if you can't afford to mail your quilts, I have had donations to cover your postage. I have seen over and over again many talk about the stacks of UFO's they have or stash fabrics, so I know most quilters are like me, they have quilts available, they haven't finished them.

This is not a 501.3C organization, sadly there is no tax deduction involved, it is just a way for us to give back to this devastated organization and those that went into this because of the jobs they do day in and day out.

I am still contacting quilt guild members all over the world though I must say for every Email that doesn't come back to me, there are 3-5 that do with failure notices.  This week-end I will drive to pick up my oldest granddaughter at camp and I will not pass the yarn shops as I usually do when I travel, I will go in and talk to them about donating and talk to the quilt/fabric shops I pass.

You may not want to donate, but you can talk to others, you can post on your blog, you can post on Facebook, you can talk to church members, talk to quilters if you go to quilt shows or your local fairs.  I am not asking for a large quilt, just something to wrap someone up and show we care.

Dispatch centers are notoriously cold and for those working nights, they are colder.  Lets show we care, at this time I am estimating, we still need 280 quilts!  All I ask is a picture to show your beautiful contribution!

Jennifer lap sized would be perfect.
If you can sew, you can make a very simple lap quilt. Thank you!
