As a retired police and fire dispatcher this really hit home, but more than that, I was offered a position for Prescott dispatch right before taking my job with the city of Goodyear, Arizona.
These men were the elite, they are like the Black Ops, Green Beret or Seals of the fire department. They deployed their fire equipment and something sadly and horribly went wrong.
Please pray for comfort for these families of the fallen, their brothers, their co-workers, the citizens of Prescott, Prescott Valley, Jerome and any areas they touched as well as the state of Arizona.
If you would like to make a quilt for one of their family members of the Prescott Fire Department or dispatch, please contact me, they need comfort and while in times like these our quilts do so little, I believe it lets them know how much they are loved and thought of during these difficult days!

Here's an address to send quilts, but please let me know where else to send them. I will be working on quilts all day today. My prayers are with the families. My heart broke last night when I heard the news.
So, send the quilts to the Prescott Fire Dept., correct? Same dimensions as with the Sandy Hook, CT quilts? Lap quilt size? Thanks for the info. Pat in Auburn, WA.
I have never done this before but I am a quilter and my heart is really braking for these families tell me what size and how quick I got an entire day tomorrow and saturday to I can probably get two out for The Ashcraft Family. Let me know the approximate size and I will have them done ASAP.
Thank you
