Okay, so I had a great nights sleep last night and I am now back to my old self & feeling better. Thank you Sue for your encouraging words & yes, I do rely on God's goodness, it is just sometimes I feel He isn't listening to me. 'Nuf Said!
So I have all these quilting magazines & I found this really awesome Christmas Red Work pattern in one of them, but I don't have a clue how to get the pattern from the book onto a piece of fabric. I am a self-taught quilter, so I don't have a lot of experience in this area.
I have heard of tools that you place chalk on and lightly tamp the pattern onto fabric, fabric pens, pencils, graphic, etc.
Does anyone have any suggestions? I read an article where a woman used wedding veil netting for this however, I tried that & it didn't work.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I would say that the easiest way to mark fabric is simply to trace the design on. Use a graphite pencil on light fabric or soapstone or chalk on dark so you will be sure it will wash out. You can use a light table or for a design from a book, trace the design on paper, tape the paper to a sunny window, tape your fabric over it and trace. Miri
